Transport for London awards Contract for Training
Garrison Continuity, one of the UK’s leading business continuity consultancies has announced a major contract with Transport for London (TfL), the integrated body responsible for managing the capital’s transport system. Over the next 12 months, Garrison will develop and deliver a comprehensive business continuity training programme for up to 800 staff as part of a wider strategy to help keep London moving in the event of a major disruption.
The training programme, which is being specially developed for TfL’s unique needs, will incorporate a blend of skills-based training and role-play rehearsals to ensure that TfL’s staff are well prepared to respond to any form of disruption.
Angela Robinson, Managing Director of Garrison commented “we have for many years helped organisations to develop and test their strategies and plans, and with the ever-increasing list of risks we recognise that organisations cannot produce a specific plan for every eventuality, hence the need for its people to be fully prepared. Our clients are now seeing the benefits of concise plans and better levels of understanding with the result that their staff feel more confident about being able to handle a disruption.”
