Business Continuity Awareness Week: 22 – 26 March 2010

Business Continuity Awareness Week (BCAW) is an annual event that is now firmly fixed in the calendars of business continuity management practitioners around the world. Held in the second half of March each year, the focus of the week is to communicate with external audiences with the objective of further raising the awareness of BCM.

The Business Continuity Institute (BCI) was established in 1994 to enable individual members to obtain guidance and support from fellow business continuity practitioners. The BCI currently has over 5000 members in 90 countries.

Many BCI members take the opportunity of BCAW to engage with their colleagues and clients to show the growing importance of BCM as a management discipline.

Throughout the week, the BCI provides a range of downloadable resources for members and partners who wish to run activities within their own organisations and local communities. Resources include posters, suggested activities, webinars and even games.
